Meg Whitman (Republican) 200px-Republicanlogo.svg.png225px-Meg_Whitman_crop.jpg198px-GOP_Logo1.svg.png
Meg Whitman was born in Long Island, New York on August 4, 1956. For the first six years of her life Meg grew up in New York however, in 1962 her mother decided to leave New York and explore the states out in the west. One of the states that the Whitman family visited was California. Since the first time Meg encountered the sunny state of California she fell in love with it. Although Meg fell in love with California her family did not settle in the “golden state.” Instead of staying in California the family continued moving from one western state to the next. As a student Meg excelled in academics and was an accomplished athlete. Once she graduated from high school she continued her education and attended Princeton University where she perused a degree in economics. Whitman also attended the business college at Harvard and received an MBA in 1979. After completing her college education Meg went on to live life on the east coast of the U.S. Her first job after college was a brand assistant at Procter & Gamble in Cincinnati. During that time Meg met her future husband Griff Harsh and after the couple got married they moved to California because Harsh was perusing a college degree at a university located in San Francisco. While the couple was getting settled in CA Meg accepted a hob at the consulting firm Baln & Co. She would go on to work at the company for a number of years and after 8 years she became the vice president of the company. Meg worked at the firm until she encountered a new company called EBay in the fall of 1997. Meg liked the company and started working there. She helped develop the company and contributed to its success. As a result she became a leading executive of EBay. Meg’s success at EBay and notorious organizational and leadership skills caught the eye of various politicians. In the 2008 presidential elections republican Mitt Romney asked Whitman to be the finance co-chair for his campaign. Unfortunately, Romeny did not stay in the election and Meg looked for work elsewhere. Fortunately, Sen. McCain asked Whitman to be his finance co-chair and Meg accepted the position. During that time she worked constantly to help promote the Republican Party and bring awareness to key political issues. After working at EBay for a number of years Meg decided to travel the world and experience different cultures. During this time she realized how bad the U.S was in need of several improvements. In order to make a difference in California Meg has decided to run for governor in her home state of California. If elected Meg hopes to cut government spending and taxes and invest conserved funds into the educational system; as means to improve education.
